Every year about this time we get a preview of changes to UMN retiree health insurance. If you obtain your health insurance through the University of Minnesota retiree group Medicare options, or are turning 65 and anticipating Medicare enrollment, please take note. The University is transitioning from a group plan for Medicare-eligible retirees to individual marketplace coverage, effective January 1, 2026.
